Puzzles

How do I solve the Level 7 color cipher?

Each of the seven orb colors has a fixed priority and value. Count every orb in the environment, drop zero-quantity colors, then concatenate (quantity)(value) per color in ascending priority order. The result is the computer code; the rightmost 4 characters are the keypad door code. Use the Level 7 & 11 Code Generator tool to compute it instantly.

Why does Level 11 not use the same rule as Level 7?

Level 11 deliberately inverts the L7 priority system. The gems on the right-side shelf are read physically from right to left, and that exact order is the keypad input. There is no priority sort - only spatial order. Use the tool in Level 11 mode.

Should I brute-force the Level 14 wires?

Only when the Lever Room levers are flipped, you have at least 2 lives, and at least 3 wires remain. Otherwise, locate the Lever Room to reset the alarm. Use the Level 14 Wire Survival Simulator to model the exact probability before each cut.

How many paintings are there in Level 12?

Three paintings. The maximum permutation space is 3! = 6. Listen for the crimson lighting transition and the anomalous audio cue with each correct placement.

Entities

How do I survive a Partygoer?

Operate the Camera module continuously. When a Partygoer materializes in your rear vicinity, immediately reverse locomotion. Active Camera UI observation stalls the Partygoer's next teleportation cycle. The Advanced Camera gamepass makes the difference in L13 and L22.

What is the strongest entity in the game?

The Cruelest is currently classified as the absolute fastest terrestrial entity. Its acceleration coefficient outpaces both Olympic Runner and Metal Lungs gamepasses combined. Survival requires strict adherence to binary-light mechanics during blackout phases.

How do I kill the Deformed Howler?

Deploy a Bear Trap at the topological spawn point. Trigger aggro deliberately and kite the entity's pathing directly into the trap's collision mesh. Conventional evasion is impossible - the trap is the only answer.

Badges

How do I get the Daymare badge?

Complete a designated Nightmare-mode sequence with zero team deaths. Coordinate entity distraction routing so that no single player takes a casualty. Even one team death invalidates the run.

What is John Elsewhere?

John Elsewhere is awarded for completing both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 in a single sitting without dying. Plan for 90-120 minutes of clean execution. Highest-risk segments are L14, L21, and L23.

Gamepasses

Which gamepass should I buy first?

Olympic Runner and Advanced Camera are the two non-negotiable passes for the modern meta. Metal Lungs is third-priority. Sixth Sense is essential for L8 and L10 but skippable otherwise.

Speedrun

How do I earn the Breakthrough title?

Hold the Chapter 1 Any% world record for 3 consecutive days. Use the Speedrun Split Tracker to pace your run against the current benchmark.

What is the Vent Glitch?

A Level 7 routing exploit involving F11 keybinds, crouching, and GUI manipulation. It bypasses the cryptographic puzzle entirely, dropping the L7 split from ~4:00 (Glitchless) to ~15 seconds (Any%).

Elsewhere

What is Elsewhere?

Elsewhere is the fully remastered successor to Apeirophobia, developed by Black Corridor - the original development team that departed Polaroid Studios in December 2025. Built on a modular framework with restored scrapped content.

Is Elsewhere a separate game?

Yes. It is a parallel successor experience with the same 24 legacy levels ported as the foundation, plus reinstated content (the Never-Ending Tower, the Greenhouse, the Chamber of Mass) and restored entity files (Bloom, Assembly, Vent Dweller).
